temporarily busting my dA hiatus to serve up another Thanksgiving comic
This is based on some recent Gogo-tweets. Really, when you think about it, all this really amounts to is a little extra psychological dressing on raising and eating your own livestock, so it's not especially all that clever. But still, something that Gogo would do. It will be interesting when she moves on to beef dinners, or--of course--hams.
Poor Pablo has discovered he is horrified and fascinated by snoods.

Saw this and was immediately reminded of mine daughter.Β We have always loved chickens for their eggs, also we consider them "living lawn ornaments".Β Not so much for food as, (have your ever killed, gutted andΒ plucked a chicken?) it is more trouble than it is worth.Β When our daughter moved out married and made her own family she decided that turkeys WOULD be worth the effort (true) and had a most Gogo like attitude towards them almost exactly.Β Showed this to her and my wife and they burst out laughing.

My parents' neighbors had the idea of "lawn ornament" chickens a few years ago. Colorful, semi-exotic breeds of chicken they let roam free around the yard. Nice birds, and very charming when the rooster would puff himself up and try to run you off if you got too close.
My family, on the other hand, has no chickens, but we do have good-sized dogs, and occasionally the pack gets larger when dog-sitting occurs. On one occasion, the guest dog didn't get the memo about leaving the chickens alone.

Dear god man I read this and spent 20mins laughing at it because I am a chef and I live in West Va. so when I go to pick out a Pigs to roast I talk to them and freak out my friends the worst one is when I did the riddle of Steel speech from the Movie Conan The Barbarian Said by James Earl Jones I said come to me child to the pig and well after I killed I yell out THAT IS POWER Okay after writing this I can see why I freak them out some times but great pic and joke loved it

Having been recently linked to this very page (from www.grrlpowercomic.com/archive⦠) and subsequently reading all the Bomango pieces I could find this past week, I must say that despite this being less a "webcomic" and more what I would call a "proto-webcomic" these characters are some of the best I've ever seen, and the few stories actually in here were very good. I shall definitely save a link to this account in the hopes of checking back someday and finding an awesome webcomic has finally sprouted from these ramblings... or least some more one off comics have been posted.
I also think that your art work, even the stuffed "rushed out," is a lot better than 90% of the webcomics I follow.
Hope to see a lot more Bomango in the future!
