Other Dark Crystal Stuff from me:

The Emperor - true royalty. Vanity and decay.
Just by trying to paint them, one really realizes, what a 'beauty' the Skeksis are lol
how is it even possible to gather the colors purple, blue and gree and grey all in one facial color at all?
Well the puppeteers managed to do so. respect! I had a pretty difficult time catching the subtle colors of the decaying skin.

So, no idea what came over me.
somehow I stumbled upon the band "Cradle of Filth" and got stuck at their song "Nymphetamine Fix" (and I really am no fan of this subgenre of metal or growl).
well then I thought: 'alright, seems like you're in the mood of drawing Skeksis. fetch the emperor and give him a try. you know, you've fallen for his eyes. they are really sexy and give him this high nobility-appearance. unless the 'beauty' of the rest of his body.'

SkekSo from "The Dark Crystal - Age of Resistance".

Used several screenshots as references, but made my own thing out of it.

I wanted to catch all aspects about his nature: his nobility and leadership aura, his vanity and arrogance, his fear of decay - and his mistake to abuse the Darkening.
