Lark is intelligent and creative and has a great deal of magical potential, but by no means is she the best student in class. She has a short attention span and her thoughtlessness gets her into trouble regularly; whether or not she's simply forgetting to do her homework or accidentally releasing dangerous air elemental into the Academy; her name is always met with a groan by her professors, followed by a “What did she do this time?”

She is eternally curious and restless, the idea of sitting around in the academy and studying on her off time doesn't appeal to her in the slightest. She often ventures into the inner city of Miras to find trouble and “On the job magical experience”. Freelance wizards and conjurers fascinate her and she'll often make a beeline for folk holding staffs to ask them questions about their craft.

She acts a little more immature than perhaps she should reaching her 26th year; she has no concept of responsibility and can be frivolous with the cash she receives from her family fund; she's boy crazy, and has a crush on a new fellow every month, often harassing the poor guy with fluttering eyelashes and flirtatious remarks but never expressing any desire to start an actual relationship.

When asked what she would do with all the money in the world, she might say she wants the largest collection of dresses, shoes, and a lifetime supply of apricot pastries.

History:

When Larks parents first married, they faced a dilemma. With one being a light elf and the other a human woman in her 50s, her father was reluctant to have children naturally, even if they managed to conceive at the woman's advanced age with the aid of some cleric's magic, the elf would be doomed to outlive both his human wife and his half-blood child.

So they decided to adopt. Lark was barely six month's old when she was taken home from an orphanage in Delverne.

They raised her in Miras, and it was a happy family, although time eventually caught up to her already ageing mother and she passed away when Lark was in her early days at the academy. After her death, what was left of their small family never lost touch, Lark and her father still meet regularly and share Sunday dinner every other week. There was no lack of extended family to rely on either, although Lark's father had always been slightly ostracised for choosing to marry a human, they held no grudge against Lark herself and she is spoiled with cards and gifts at every occasion from her elven relatives.

Lark was sent to the academy in Miras when she was twenty years old, right after graduating her traditional academic school in Miras. Although she was funded by her father's sizeable fortune. She no trouble getting in on her own merits, having a talent for the magical arts. Early on she majored in elemental magic, but found it challenging and switched to summoning after her first year. Now proficient in low level summoning, as well as the theories behind it, she is eager to move onto new and more dangerous challenges.

Powers:

- Pigsly the familiar- This tiny flying pig is often seen floating behind Lark's head offering advice in the form of tiny pig squeals. It's unknown if he's sentient or if Lark just treats him as though he is, in any case he can follow commands, but is ineffective at carrying anything larger than himself.

- Flock of birds- Watch out, there's ethereal birds everywhere! Lark can summon many creatures, but birds are her speciality, she can create up to eight at once, although their power and her control over them diminishes if there are more rather than less.

- Ball of light- A simple creature not dissimilar to a wisp, this ball is about the size of a teacup and composed of light energy; it will wander around of it's own accord if not controlled but does nothing more than create a light source and radiate a harmless amount of heat.

- Sunburst- While still a mage studying elemental magic, Lark learned a ranged light based spell which shoots a tiny bolt of energy from her wand, it is not particularly forceful, but causes a tiny burst of sparkles and sound which can be an effective distraction.
