BIOGRAPHY

HISTORY ||
Formerly a British schoolteacher in the 1930s, a pious Christian man who loved children and sharing knowledge. Some way or another, Aster fell victim to a vampire bite when he was 36. Most of his human life remains a blur, possibly a side effect of the demon curse placed on him, or maybe just some madness of his own.
At first he retreated to the countryside and tried to satiate himself by attacking farm animals, causing a fuss among the locals who were protective of their livestock. It was only when a man decided to stand watch by his chickens one night and shoot him with a rifle that Aster first attacked his first human being.
After that it was a slipperly slope, soon enough Aster took up murder full time, and soon learned that this sinful new lifestyle meant he had guardian angels to contend with. Only on the mercy of a passing demon, disguised as a black cat, did he escape his first encounter with an angel.
The cat demon never gave Aster her name, if she even had one, but for some reason or another she took pity on the clueless fellow, and the two became friends for a time. She taught him the basics of magic, and gave him the means to study further before she retreated back to her own realm. Runes she never discussed, although she did suggest that Aster keep his name a secret from the wider public.
After 50 years or so dwelling in an abandoned ruin in rural England, Aster decided to rejoin society as an author of crime drama novels, so far he's not been published.
