By LoneLatern! Isn't she great! It's done!This is my very first piece of commissioned artwork ever and I had it done for my story, Pink, White, Green and Elemental.
Rentao101 and I, valerie21601 are collaborating on our stories. If you want to follow the story where it started, start by reading rentao101's Supergirl and the Legion: Future Perfect and then her Supergirl and the Legion: Legion Lost stories posted on DA. I like her new look, much better than the belly shirt outfit, the only thing I, personally, would change part of her boots. Those strange triangle tops on the pair.
I am struggling to wait and read a couple of issues of the new Supergirl series before I decide if I will continue to read it.

The art of Mahmud A Asrar is wonderful. I have no worries about the art he will do for Supergirl. It's the stories, the changing of her powers (male and female Kryptonians have different powers under a yellow sun) and her personality that worries me and several other long time Supergirl fans. Along with the planned is she or isn't she going to go evil thread they are planning to use in the Supergirl series.
The first solicit makes her sound a like an *itch. The second solicit she has a super-slamdown with Superman (considered very old hat by many old Supergirl fans especially if she has one with every hero who crosses her path). So much for the no cross over promise DC made between their characters broken by the second issue. The third solicit no one (among her old fans) are mostly indifferent now.
I am going to give it a try anywhere from three to six issues. If I don't like it I will drop it. I lived for several years without buying her series and can do it again. While simply admiring the original concept of the Supergirl character from a distance.

Yes, it's Darkseid.
Because it's how dangerous Darkseid is to everyone and everything around him. To me Darkseid represents the hatred of freewill and the chaos of daily life that comes with it. So he wants to have absolute control of everyone, everything in the universe, control every breath you take, every birth and death and all according to the way he believes it should be. So to us, peons, it would be a Hell of total absolute control and despair.

It's for my fan fiction in progress, Pink, White, Green and Elemental. In it Supergirl survived the Crisis and is married to Brainiac 5 in their alternate universe. When they got married they were sure they would have to go the test tube baby route to have a baby of their own because of their race/species differences so they weren't using any birth control. But it turns out because Brainiac 5 is related to Stealth and inherited her race's ability to be able to mate and reproduce almost with any species. B5 didn't know this about his family's genetic heritage and so to their surprise Supergirl got pregnant right away after they got married.

Yes, it's the Hal Jordan version of the Spectre when he was briefly the Spectre in the DC Universe. He has a small but very important role in my fan fiction I'm still working on.
