I was inspired by [link] as it reminded me of my love of the Silmarillion (and Tolkein in general...). So I browsed around and looked at some pieces, and found some groups and well...yeah, I spent my evening doing something other than what I should have been, lol. I've always loved her myself, and have a character named Varda (after her).Anyway...for those of you who don't know the Valar - Varda is the Queen and married of ManwΓ«, their king. She is the most powerful of the Valier (female Valar) and is also called ElentΓ‘ri (meaning Star Queen) because she made the stars. She is the most loved and respected of her kind. She is able to see all that happens in her world from Taniquetil (her home) in Valinor.

Her head is disproportionate and her breasts are unrealistic, but otherwise a decent picture. I disagree with the darkness of the background. She's in Valinor, right?

I hadn't considered whether she was in Valinor or not, I simply wanted the background to look magical...but the reason the background is dark is because she is placing the start in the night sky. I'm also not sure where you see her head as out of proportion with the rest of her, though I do agree that perhaps the fabric of her gown makes her breasts look unrealistic.

Elentari! That was my favorite elf name when I was a kid. I read only part of the Silmarillion and used the elfin dictionary in the back a LOT.
