I would expect Orcish poetry would be similar to Vorgon poetry from 'Hitchhiker's Guide'. Brilliant.

Yay for meat on orc bones, hehe! Very lovely! I've drawn my own buxom orc warrior woman ... but a little TOO buxom when back in the day all i cared about were buxomity (fun to make up words). I should do a new version of her in my chubby women style ...

Yes, more Celadon Toadstool! Awesome! She's my favorite character of yours, such a personality. I would love to see a meeting between her and Sings-to-Trees.

Oh, goodness. She's one of my OTHER favorite characters that you've created. She should DEFINITELY meet Sings-To-Trees! I can only imagine the hilarity there. I love how she's built realistically (for an orc, especially) but still very attractive (for an orc, especially). Quite refreshing.
Your art nouveau is gorgeous. It makes me want to try doing some again. I play around with that sort of linework in character illustrations, but I never go all the way with the backgrounds. Really lovely color choices, and your lines are flawless and very Mucha-esque. I'm especially fond of the crescent-shaped leaves for some reason. They're just so ingeniously simple and effective! Kudos all around.

Wow. The description kicks ass.
There's a character in a play called "Fences" that has a similar outlook on his own "muse." So I like to see this connection in such a....green...way.
I love the style here. Very illustrative and blocky, I guess, and it really gives focus to the expression on her face. go you.

Absolutely, she should meet Sings-to-Trees. I wonder how they'd end up meeting... her battle-hog mount turns up lame? Gah, I need to stop speculating, that's a sure way to clam up the Ursula inspirational font...

She's lovely ^_^ Of course, the whole style is....art noveau is lovely, and your art is pretty dam neat too (although silly me hasn't garnered the nerve to comment until now) - but the fact that she is an attractive orc woman while still being definitely an orc woman is really neat, as is the fact that she has some meat on her bones, and a realistic attitude. She's someone I'd like to meet, and, in the meantime, shall enjoy looking at, and contemplate the joys of a prospective meeting between her and Sings-To-Trees.

No, it was the first I missed after all. Sigh. More gallery madness to ensue.
Anyway, I kinda like the art nouveau style, which you've used so nicely here. I especially like the stylized crescent-shaped leaves on the tree behind her - they're cute. Nice, luminous colors, and she looks so...well-drawn. Sigh. Good job.

God, wow, I love the color scheme on this. Really vivid and beautiful!
And not only does she need to meet Sings-to-Trees, they should get together! Their rather different natures just makes for good chemistry (eventually. maybe. after some suffering on Sings-to-Trees part.)! If you wrote a book on them I would totally buy it. (hell, I'd buy anything you wrote anyway.).
Anyway, great stuff!

I think this ought to be hung next to one of the pieces Mucha did of Sarah Bernhardt. I'm just tired enough to imagine the conversations the two of these women might have when no one's around. Yup, wierd. Oh, and yes, she should get to meet Sings-To-Trees. Please do let us know what happens.

I don't know if it's your Mucha style confusing me, but the hands look slightly wrong and the knee too...(though probably just orcish anatoy throwing me off...)

Ursulav: Correction the universe's orc/art related mistakes since 1923 (Seems a good place to start) Great work, and I know what you mean about the line work. I've seen lots of people choose that style for various college assignements, thinking it'll be easy...Ohhhh, where they sorry. And,speaking for a large part of the male population, meat and curves are a good thing on the female form, orc or otherwise.
