Very nice work. I really love the Celtic dragon burned into the center. Did you turn the bowl as well? Either way its very nice.

Very nice work here! Wood burning seems hard.. But I'd like to try it some time. What sort of equipment do you need to do it?

Thank you so much! Any good craft store should sell a wood burning iron that has interchangeable tips for different types of lines. The irons are usually in the same place as the wood boxes and other raw wood items; the iron should come with some sort of stand so you can set it down without unplugging it. A surface protector like a large cardboard scrap is handy if your hand slips. That seems to be it for equipment, nothing too fancy or very expensive most wood burning irons are about $20 USD.

Can't wait to see what you come up with send pictures!!!

This is beautiful, and very well done. <3

Old Norse is something I use to study, and I love to write letters to my friends that also understand it.

Good job. <3

I like the crisp edges, and the background! Do you know what kind of wood it is? It looks a lot like Koa or Acacia, if I had to guess, but those woods are hardly Norwegian!

The Pyrography really looks clean too.

Thanks so very much! These were the first wood things I pyrographed, and the wood was on hand.
Unfortunately I'm not sure what type of wood it is because the bowl is reclaimed, but it's definitely not something found in Scandinavia. I do have some that are oak and will be up shortly. Those are definitely more Norwegian

You're welcome.
I was just trying to guess the species of wood used, it's kind of a hobby of mine, to be able to guess the species of wood used in a turning.
