So. Much. Effort. To commemorate the struggle for recognition and acceptance here we have the lovely couples that so parallel one another. To the left are Troy Bolton, the brunette, and Ryan Evans, the blond, from the Disney mega hit "High School Musical", and the first I know of to feature such characters of such obvious homosexuality. Troy is the basketball god and golden boy of East High who finds he is drawn to the world of theater, thus the struggle for his sexual identity begins. Although Troy is featured prominently with his "gf" scholastic champ Gabriella Montez, in the second and third movies he displays a definite attraction to Ryan, the flamboyant theater king.

Sexual persuasion wise Ryan is obviously gay, his vibrant wardrobe, gestures, feminine/suggestive dance moves, lack of a romantic female counterpart and attraction to the same sex say it all. And so, Ryan proudly dons the rainbow, the emblem of his pride in who he is. Troy, his lover who is attreacted to both genders holds his lover tight while wearing the bisexual pride colors on a wristband.

On the right are Kurt Hummel, the brunette and Finn Hudson, the dark-haired boy, from the musical and ever daring TV series "Glee". Finn is the star quarterback of McKinley High. Kurt is the flamboyant soprano of the school's glee club. (Note the similarities). In episode 10 it is revealed that Kurt is in love with Finn, who in spite of his reluctance to admit it, may be more attracted to the tiny boy than he cares to think.

To me, Troy looks FAR too effeminate. True, Zefron is a touch femme' in appearance but I screwed up on poor Troy so many times I have no idea what happened. It's kind of creepy how in my art style he and Kurt could pass for brothers. As for Kurt, I must apologize. I didn't intend for him to be scarcely visible but after nailing Ryan on the first try and working so arduously on Troy I didn't have the will to erase them to allow more room for their "Glee" counterparts. Forgive me.

I do like the way Kurt and Finn came out, though. And again, I'm well aware that proportionally, Finn is near six feet tall. He towers over everyone. I had to cut him down several inches in order to accommodate him and his petite companion. Yikes!!! And Finn is wearing a polo which is hard to see I know.

My Ryan seems to be the center of attention in this picture and so I'll allow him to relish it. He's been pushed into the background by his sister for so long.
