Description

This was the commission for my mom...
...she asked for a watercolor painting of me when I was 6...swinging on a willow tree we found in a field back then in my purple rain boots.
The tree itself was down in a ravine, so we (brother, friends, and I) brought the lower branches up to the top of the hill and literally swung across it at about 20-30 feet in the air.
Mom regrets never getting photos of it...so she said she wanted a motion painting with hardly any solid details. There was a painting done of our house in Texas, and she said she wanted a style like that...and I tried.

But I'm not very happy with it. The colors turned out much more vivid than I intended, but she said I didn't have to redo it.
Guess I need to move on.

I didn't keep track of the time I spent. Progress photos will be on my Facebook page later.
Koi watercolors were used on rag paper.
