This guy took me a while.I wanted to make a good Galvatron using a mold that it would work well with. The Animated Megatron seemed a good one to me. I like the style of animated.
One of the coolest things about the Animated Megatron is his awesome helicopter mode. I didn't want to lose that just to make Galvatron a stationary cannon, so I didn't.
I did a lot of cutting and some sculpting to make the head and abdomen look more Galvy then painted him using all metallics. Both Spray and brush.
As seen in the pic, the eyes still light up and all.

Yeah, I agree, but he was often this same blue in the G1 show/movie too.

Yes, he is supposed to be a blueish purple, but sometimes they just had him looking blue.

tired of a stationary cannon you say. well try this... why not combine the best atributes of armada megs and g1 galvatron into a large 4 treaded feild cannon... nice huh? just monkey it around a bit kick around ideas i'll be waiting to see what you come up with it'll be insane like galvy is supposed to be.

I love how you pulled this off! The metallic blue is really nice and suits Galvatron. The sharper feel with the "horns" and whatnot are absolutely perfect!

Probably the best Animated Galvatron I've seen so far. Love the metallic blue, but I do have one little gripe, and this is just my opinion: I've always prefered the Voyager Class mold for a Galvatron redeco. Like I said, just a personal preference, nothing you have to take to seriously.

Yeah I can see the Voyager one looking good too, but I personally think the Leader class figure is better for Galvatron simply because he has the big shoulders that can resemble the things on G1 Galvatron's shoulders.
I like the size and the helicopter mode too on the LC version!

That would take adding Apoxie sculpt to the gun and trying to make it evenly round. It would look sloppy. If I just tried sanding down the gun it would eat through the corners enough to make holes in the hollow plastic before it would be round. I considered it, but felt that part would be better left alone unless I replaced the entire gun with one that did not fire.

Actually not a bad idea there but it would involve me destroying another figure and with business being lower during December I can't really afford that.

oh yea, then just try to change the voyager megatron where you took of the cannon and modifiy the toy to make it look like scourge.

Galvatron here looks great, U9. That metallic looking blue is a beautiful color.
And the cannon looks fine. tc781 is a GEEWUNNER.
