Instructions:
1. Download files
2. Extract the files with either winRAR or winzip
(3.) If you downloaded the zip one, you need to find the folder called conf, this folder contains two xml documents, whose names need to be changed to 動作 and 行動
4. Double click shimeji.exe
5. Done

I'm having trouble... When downloading, I clicked shimej.exe and it took me to a Japanese Java. I tried downloading the Java and it was for windows 9... Could you maybe simplify the actual process of getting the cat?

oh, now it works. You have to 'kopie' the file (idk how to say the word in english, so I used the word 'kopie')
An in the kopied file you have to change the xml names. than it works (sorry, sorry for my bad english Dx I hope you understand it!)

FIRST OF ALL, DON'T CLICK THE ICON WITH THE LITTLE GUY IN THE TV. THAT IS NOT THE THING YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. THE THING YOU DO NEED TO CLICK ON IS THE ICON UNDERNEATH IT, THE JAVA ICON.
SECOND, YOU DON'T NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE ZIP FILE. THERE ARE PROGRAMS THAT LET YOU OPEN BOTH ZIPS AND RARS. DOWNLOAD ONE OF THESE THEN DOWNLOAD THE RAR. IGNORE THE ZIP. IGNORE IT.

umm... for the zip one I've rename the files but he still won't come out. T^T For the Hi one I've rename with 動作 while the ilikecheese one i've rename with 行動. I also clicked the Shimeji.jar one like I always do but he still won't come out.... do you have a solution for this? Thank you.

I don't know if you already tried this, but when I first started using shimejis, I had to download the Japanese version. Don't know why (probably because they're essentially Japanese programs), but it worked~!
