Description Billie's adult stage: Clicky Click.

There is going to be a lot of text. I feel like I need to ramble, because...I can. I'm sure there is at least one person out there who cares about this stuff, right?

...right?

Anyways.

I've been inspired to design my own Evols, which are genetically created beings from a manga called 'Zetman.'

During his early larval life Billie was taken care of by a stick insect Evol, who Billie affectionately called Grampy Sticks (though he pronounced it like "Gwamy Ick.") Sadly, the stick insect Evol had a defect which caused him to age rapidly; he died during his third year of life. Thankfully, before he passed away there were three other Evols brought into Billie's life: a mantis, a dragonfly and a mole cricket. The mantis and dragonfly Evols put the most time into caring for Billie in place of Grampy Sticks.

In this image, grub Billie is rather small. He will eventually grow big and fat over time.

There is more to his story, but I'll probably talk more about it later. I'll also be posting Billie's adult form soon after this one.

Also, the fact that the Evol Roz’s (the mantis) arms look different in the two drawings in this image is not an error. Evols can reasonably shift their form to better aid themsleves. Here is an example from the manga itself: From pincers to hands. Now, as for how the guy in this page is carrying his cellphone IN his hip is a different story. (He just needs a Hello Kitty key chain on that thing and I would die from laughter.)

As for the Zetman manga itself, it's slow in some parts, but it has nice monster/creature designs and awesome artwork. I'm serious about the designs. I mean...jeez, just look at this dude ---> DO WANT. He’s my current obsession. Sad, huh? (I LUVS U MR. SHRIMPY.)

If you want to check out the manga it is available to read online. Warning though; this stuff is totally NSFW. It's got gore, rape, rainbows and all that fun stuff. You've been warned.

Billie- *his stubby little arms grab onto the candy* -insert happy little noises here- *starts chewing on it*

I need to draw Mr. Shrimpy still. I was doodling him in a meme...but eh. *twitches a bit* So many things to draw...

Whoa, Zetman reminds me of Guyver, except it seems to have even more interesting "Zoanoid"-like designs. There are some serious amounts of detail in them, too.

I'm really digging your recent creature designs; probably should give it a try some time...

It reminds me of Guyver as well. The designs and art quality is what hooked me in big time, even if there are slow parts in the manga. I just the love eye-candy when it does show up.

Thanks, though I think I made my Evols look a bit too...organic? They're like anthropomorphic insects instead, but I tried I guess.

(I could always go with the excuse that they were created to be more organic looking? Probably not.)

Eh, your organic style, intentional or not, looks fine; it's your style, after all. It might be a little light on the armor compared to your older works, but the muscular and fleshy bulk more than makes up for it. And I like the cute touches you've made on a few of the sketches...
