I was thinking about what creepers would look like if drawn more realistically.
Well, why not insect-crustacean?

The Creeper, average six feet in height, will light its tail (which works as a fuse) by creating friction with the rough spiky 'hair' when it sees an 'enemy'.
Then the fire will travel all the way along what is considered a biological extension fuse and into its head, which is filled with explosive material (and a very small brain).
Its body also being packed with such material, it will explode in a very short time, leaving its surroundings devastated.
It eats coal, dry leaves, redstone, etc. which will be kept dry and flammable inside its stomach, which takes up approximately 80% of its torso.

It is green in color and can be distinguished by the rustling sound its tail makes when set on fire, however, if you hear it then it's probably too late.
