Hi again, all.Am trying to get more daily practice in, and yes, I'm still in my pseudo-fantasy phase atm, still exploring while it lasts. I'm sure I'll come to my senses soon enough.
This one started out as a speedie and I called it quits 3 hours in. As a sidenote I really want to try out this software ArtRage that some of the guys here have been using- it looks very fun and intuitive, especially with the dynamic colour blending/analogue painting simulation- a "Painter Lite", so it seems. Will post my feeble attempts when I get round to it!

In any case, simply astounding work! I love the designs and the atmosphere of the whoel thing, reminds me of my own Fantasy univerese : ) The glowing eyes of the horses are an ascellent touch! All in all, perfect work, well done!

I'm dying to see what you've done with artrage. I can't seem to render anything decent out of it, it seems just to be a simulation of a medium that really doesn't give you the best control, always smearing and demanding too much time. I just like to use it to give that slick TM brush look to things painted in photoshop.

These dark horsemen, along with an army of shadowy, fierce soldiers at their command, look like a force to be reckoned with, and to be feared. One horseman, with a faceless horned helmet riding on a soulless steed whose eyes burn with an orange blaze, seems to look upon a doomed army, and sealed their fate with his gaze.
The looming castles, towers, and fortresses are a nice touch as well. The dark army has been unleashed from the dark lands, whose skies know only the shade of gray. Good work.
