Description This is a paladin of Sveltarm, The Spider That Waits. In the Drow pantheon he is the god of warriors and of male servants of Lolth. D&D rules say that a paladin must be a law abidding and good person. Well it seems to me that a paladin in drow society would be considered evil by those on the surface, but would be "good" to the drow. Afterall a paladin is a righteous leader and warrior. Why not a one such a leader of an evil god? There are blackgaurds (a paladin that falls into evil) but this is not a blackgaurd, he is fanatically loyal to Sveltarm, Lolth and the drow ruling house. Just my thoughts though.

No, this isn't from a comic, but I'm flattered you thought it might be! It's just my interpretation of a Dungeons and Dragons concept. He is a drow (dark elf) knight that serves the evil god Selvetarm. Other than that (and the coat of arms on his shoulder which is the holy symbol of Selvetarm) I made him up.

Thanks. THat little hamster on his wheel in my head is good at some stuff. Has a tendency to trip and fall off, though.

Suss Unearthed Arcana I think it is, has rules for paladins that are chaotic good, lawful evil and chaotic evil, which is the way it should be; why should good be the only one with (un)holy warriors? Great work too

Cool, I didn't know about those rules. Thanks, and I agree totaly. I think this pic inspired me to draw a pic of a paladin of Severash. What could be more epic than a battle between a paladin of Severash (hatred of the drow portfolio) and Sveltarm (drow fighters portfolio)?
