My first drawing on black paper
it was fun to draw this, because its so different than drawing on white paper, everyone should try this ones

How did you achieved mid tones? It seem a very hard work to draw on black paper.

I made something a lot of time ago, but it was with colorpencil.

u have to use a different technique if you draw on black paper, but u will see its a lot of fun

Yes, it was colorpencil on black paper, and on dark blue paper.
The approach is really different in this cases.

yea only white on black paper is different because you only colour the highlights

Yes, but almost everything is expensive in this area.
I have a Caran d'Ache box. For me it's a very good brand, and they last a lot of time.
Even with colopencils on dark papers is like this, you have to draw the light and not the shades as if you are drawing on white paper.

I have a box of 18 colorpencils. This kind of media you can't mix too much, so the more you have the better it is.
Have a look to zeldi's gallery [link] if you don't know her already. I think she is one of the better atrist with colorpencils.
