I worked and then reworked this for roughly two weeks, on and off. Drawn with a 4B drawing pencil with reference from an online photo [link] from [link] I haven't done much with portraits, mostly landscape and still life, so please forgive me for the inaccurate representation with the tilted head and the shading. I dont know what youre talking about, your weakness can't be faces... from any angle... you are quite good at likenesses... most of my drawings of faces started out being one celebrity or another, and end up looking like someone totally different...

Well I knew he was Aussie and I knew that it was the Brits who colonized Australia, so it was highly likely. But I never thought about it and I never looked into it.
