Description Tumblr doodles! I'm in a super Meister mood. I just finished sketching the first three. I did the bottom one a few days ago. I wanted to practice more with these watercolor brushes.

I feel they work better when I'm working with a pencil sketch than with something I draw with the tablet in Photoshop. That's just me, though.

Expect to see a lot more of this guy.

NPH NPH NPH <3 <3 <3 I really dislike the versions of characters they did on that show (don't even talk to me about Marilyn Riddler Manson, ugh fo cereal guyz) but I ABSOLUTELY AM OBSESSED WITH THE MUSIC MEISTER AND THAT EPISODE WHERE BATMAN SINGS. I was rolling on the floor dyinggg of laughter when Batman just started beltin' it out like an opera star. IMPOSSIBLY PERFECT.

I thought Marilyn Riddler Manson was in "The Batman," not "Brave and the Bold"? I don't know; I've only seen a handful of both shows.

But I totally agree, the Music Meister episode is definitely one of the best Batman episodes to come out of the series after BTAS.

Took me a long time to get used to the tablet, so I know that feeling. I still do a lot of trace work, draw by hand, scan, redraw. This process though tends to make my final product infinitely better than the original sketch/idea. I'm curious to know what program you use.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0. It came on my computer for college. I've gotten better at sketching digitally, but they're not like my pencil sketches. I think one of the big things (with these watercolor brushes, anyway) is that my pencil sketches, after they've been scanned into Photoshop, are always so much bigger than what I sketch in Photoshop. Pieces that I pencil sketched always seem to turn out looking a lot cleaner for this reason, I think.

Yeah, the tablet takes some getting used to. I've been using mine since April-ish, I think, but then that was just for coloring. I didn't actually get decent with digitally drawing until July. I am still learning.

Oh lord, Elements? 6? You poor thing, then again its not a terrible program and its better than nothing. I mean, I learned using CS1, there was some ancient tech back in 07. Hilariously the farther back you go, the easier the interface is, why you do Adobe? Hmm, I can make some recommendations, smoother programs for better sketching mostly, some even free. Though it might be easier for you to just go with whatcha got since you're still new to the digital side of drawing.

lol, clearly not the best of programs, I take it? It's what works for me. I would love to hear some recommendations you have; I'm always looking to improve my artwork. I just do all of this for fun, but still, to improve is always good. Thank you!

Elements is kind of like a consolation prize, its also much more geared towards just photo editing rather than the more rounded CS-whatever number we're on, I think 5. I suggest GIMP, its a completely free program, I only hear good things. The program I use is much more...difficult to procure, I think it only recently released a legit version in English, not so sure, I'm using an older version anyways, its called Paint Tool Sai. The great thing about it is because it's a smaller contained program, there is much less strain on your RAM so your lines will already be much closer to what you can really produce with a pencil. There is also Open Canvas, not sure if free but what makes this program unique is the ability to connect with a friend and draw on the same canvas, useful for learning with a friend, and also great for derping good fun. I do most of my art for fun these days, I figure at this point there is very little reason for me to attempt to further a career.

Paint Tool Sai sounds good, if it does create a line much more like a traditional pencil. I tend to draw really sketchily and roughly. It'd be cool to be able to do that properly on a computer. Thank you so much for all the info! I'll look into them!

Great choice! Its what I use, so I hope that gives a good idea of what you could do with it. Onward with progress. For Science! (Also you are very welcome.)
