Had to post an image from earlier, one of those really good nights where I just stood there gazing at the sky until my neck started to hurt.

Before they were understood, such displays as these were thought to be evidence of the displeasure of the gods at human behaviour. Some peoples considered them threats and fired weapons at them in self-defense.

Yeah, we can consider ourselves quite lucky to possess the knowledge we have today.
I mean, compared to a caveman, we absorb as much knowledge in a single day as they would in their lifetimes.

I wouldn't want to try to make a fire with nothing but flint and kindling. And I have no idea how to catch and cook a rabbit or skin a wolf for its hide. Cavemen knew what they needed to know, and we are the proof of that.
