Cold, but fun seeing the difference every morning from the tide moving around the ice all the time and not to mention, clouds like this with such colors does not often come around.

I'm always amazed by things people can do with simple yet beautiful sunrise. It's one thing I can't photograph properly yet and because of that I can appreciate every good sunrise or sunset photo. The other thing is, sometimes I've been getting up early to catch a sunrise. I know that it can be hard or even virtually impossible sometimes. I wish there was an "artist's commitment" category just to give you 5 stars for it, instead I'm gonna bump up the technique a bit.
As for the photo itself, it's quite original as a sunrise, partially because the unique landscape, partially because the ice but I think it's mainly because of the clouds formed in a cream-like structure. They look so soft and... I have a feeling like the sea with clouds instead of waves is above me and the bits of floating ice are clouds. It's a bit unsettling but I enjoy it a lot!

Oh, I have had a few scares while shooting near ice during the dark of night, just hear this loud crackling noise and instantly wondering "what kind of big animal made that sound", pretty crazy how loud it can get at times as well.

I remember falling on my 4th point of contact and hearing a creaking going off to the distance and echoing back as a cracking boom. The only manmade sound to come close was the sound of artillery in the distance. I prefer the ice
