Description
A coloured pencil image I was working on during my five-day break. It's kinda rough, but I think I did okay with the building of colours to create rich shading :3It's Roy from Fire Emblem 6 and also SSBM, but he's drawn in the style of Melee, 'cos he looks so cool that way. Don't tell me about the sword. I never draw them straight
Aside from that, I'm perfectly happy with this image... for once

Yeah I know. What I meant was that he was a clone in regards to Fire Emblem. Every lord after Marth is sorta a clone, cos he was the first in any Fire Emblem game

Fire Emblem 1 and 2 had Marth as the lord. I believe FE3 has numerous leaders. FE4 has Leaf as the lord. FE5 has Roy. FE6 has Eliwood. FE7 has Ephraim. FE8 has Ike. FE9 has numerous leaders, but Ike comes back.

i actually dont have any FE games, but a friend of mine has 1 for the game boy and it has roy as eliwoods son, and i just dont think roy is a clone of marth, hes just not aything like him, they came up with new characters its not like theres some kind of rule where evry1 has to be based off one person, i honestly think that roy is an original character.

He is. You're missing the point, though. In Fire Emblem, there are a sort of set of "character guides" for each game. You'll find that, in general, each Fire Emblem game has a lord, an old paladin, a boy thief, a girl pegasus rider, a boy mage, a heavy knight, 2-3 basic cavalry, etc. Both Roy and Marth have the same roles in the games; they are both the central character, lord, and dominant leader of the group. They both have similar statistics in general and are similar in other ways. I'm not saying they're clones, I'm just saying that they are both very similar in terms of Fire Emblem character guidelines and Marth came first, thus, Roy is somewhat based on Marth. It's not a bad thing. It's how they design their games :=

eliwood is basically the same way, and he's the father of roy so i think hes kinda based off of eliwood not marth, i get what you sayin, i just dont like it when ppl say roy is a clone marth, becus it may seem like they are alike, but they are actually alot more different than everyone thinks. i get what ur sayin, i just disagree a little

Wow that looks amazing! So vibrant. Yeah I definently prefer Roy over Marth. I always like to use the swordsmen in SSBM, but hes my all time fav!

The lineart is, as always, flawless. Everything came out great, especially the design on his clothing and coloring with it. I'm just wondering if the hair goes a bit farther down the back of his head or not, but that's just me trying to look for the slightest error.

On Melee the hair on the back of his hair is really quite short. It's basically just the round of his head
