As for pinkie being in the corner that was hilarious.


Here's the thing. You have to expand the way you look at contexts. Personally I would get my ear pulled real dam hard and hauled to my room. Though im not going to say that people having their ears pulled can't be comedic to me.

The reason is that punishments are a necessary part of our development as children. Its generally very difficult to judge the grey areas in what is moral in punishments we receive as children or even more difficult as adults.

Clearly some people take punishment way to far and clearly your babysitter got off on you being in a corner. They were no doubt a horrible person.
There are horrible things done by horrible people everywhere for no good reason at all.

Anything taken to extremes like this becomes painful or torturous to somebody for some reason.
There is SOME ONE who can't laugh about ice cream mustaches because when they had one their mom slapped them for being messy or something.

There is probably a dark backstory to everything that you can think of. On this basis nobody could ever laugh at anything because nothing would ever be good hearted or funny. However most of our humor is actually quite dark. In particular English humor is carries a almost horrific darkness too it with very little part being laughable.
Its probably the actual best kind of humor though. Like most things. We don't see that humor is not a way to enjoy good times but a way to escape bad ones.

As someone accurately put. The harder you laugh on the outside the harder you cry on the inside.
If you have that kind of pain surrounding you and you don't use humor or even dark humor if you have too then you will take on either narcissistic or downright abusive tendencies into your personality and fester hatred against everything else because it is what is done to you.

Sarcasm is a personality trait best learned when your young because through harsh things happening to you if you see it from a broader, less self-encompassing view, then it doesn't fester in your mood and attitude and you will stay positive and amicable even in the face of quite a bit of darkness.

Because if you didn't know. Humor is to my knowledge, a singly human function. Animals will scorn and jeer at each other but they have no sense of sarcasm.

Only because we can see things from a third person point of view can we appreciate things in our lives regardless of what they mean to us personally.


Sarcastic people with a good sense of humor does not mean they take things lightly.
In fact, it means the opposite. It means that they have come to grips with the terrible things that go on around them that they can't change and don't hate because they have come to understand them in their lives and they grow as people because of it.
Laughing at something horrible means you are no longer effected by it personally. Its when we accept the things we cannot change and change ourselves instead to be a different person then the person that those terrible things set us up to be, like an animal, to define us through our lives as damaged goods. And instead opt to be a little darker at heart. If you cannot allow yourself to be more grim and sarcastic all you will do is begin to use the attitudes of other cruel people.
It is when we become darker as people that we become lighter at heart. Because what everyone forgets is that humans are naturally animals, and that all good things done when we are young are generally done for nothing but self centered reasons as children LACK the capacity to understand things on a larger scale then just themselves for the most part.



Being a better person starts with accepting that we never were good before and that most people aren't. And as you progress through life and witness more contemptible and disgusting things, you change as a person and grow darker and darker in your outlook. That is growth.

To laugh at the things that hurt us is the very DEFINITION of wisdom.
Because we have accepted the pain of our existence and have kept going positively and have become more then simply a beaten dog to the things that have hurt us, an animal.


If you feel that you cannot laugh at pinkie being in the corner. Then you have failed to understand the very message given by pinkie's attitude as a whole, and all other characters LIKE pinkie *Which is a common trend in character writing*

And that is that everyone likes pinkie best because pinkie is the most human character in the show. With the best, deepest and DARKEST backstory they could allow.


To laugh is to mourn, to understand, and to defy those things that threaten to damage or destroy our lives.
In a sense. It is wisdom to laugh at everything.
Nothing comes of a bad attitude. To be offended at anything at all is only a sign that you are not yet big enough a person to deal with others.

Be happy regardless. Take everything in stride. Laugh at any horror. That is to live.
And you will find that it will make your very soul a darker thing.
It is only when you accept that it was never actually light at all.
That you can find happiness in even the greatest turmoil.





On a finale note. I do not mean be happy without bitterness because that will exist regardless. Bitterness as well must translate in your humor and you know the depth of a person in how bitter their humor is.
To forget your bitterness would be nothing more then forgetting who you are and where you came from. And that is just forgetting life itself in favor of laughing at anything.
Which is just giving up on life and living as nothing more but a freelancer on life given things by those who actually struggle.

So accept bitterness and experience. Communicate it to others with every meeting and you will find what you have to say is worth something to even the most experienced people. And you may find you get wiser every day.


And along with that. There are those who are only cruel. That laugh for fun. Who torture others for amusement and step on the toes of embittered people because they themselves decided not to care about others so as to accept that is the way the world works and that they don't have to care about anyone else because nobody cared about them and that's just how things work. They would prefer to live in ignorance of pain and just take from others what they want without accepting or acknowledging others to suit their own needs views or opinions. Despite how wrong they may be.
Unlike the freeloaders of life that just live to be happy and for others to be happy as well for no reason, *hippies*

If you should meet any of such people. Remember to first make sure they can't be reasoned with. And if not...

Well I said you shouldn't be sad, I didn't say you couldn't be angry.


Some people deserve a helping of righteous justice.
Don't jump the gun on it but always keep in mind those who surround you and though you may try to be peaceful and happy. That anger will fill you and you should never EVER ignore that to try to be happy instead.
Or to just forgive and forget or anything of that sort.
Some people are leeches who live on your kindness and peacefulness.

Keep in mind and in eye the darkness that surrounds others or you will be susceptible to their maliciousness.
I in no way want to tell you to be happy and carefree.
Scrutiny and pondering malicious possibilities is necessary for your well being and the well being of everyone else around you.

Laugh with everyone, about everything you want, share your sarcasm bitterness and disdain, live life.
Trust everyone completely.
Always watch your back.



And while your at it try to loosen up a bit, its just a game after all. Albeit, you only get one life.

Okay thanks i needed that long speech. To be honest i love dark humor its just pinkie shes my favorite character and i hate seeing her get humilated like that. But if you like you could help me understand why pinkie being in the corner is funny. I am being serious i mean what she said was funny because of her face i am like dat face when i saw it but the corner thing i never got that type of humor I don't get it how is someone saying a stupid comment and then the scene flashes to them in the corner with a dunce cap for humilation funny? Also if people love pinkie as they claim why torture her? I probably should ask myself that since i myself put her through hell because shes my favorite character and we like to see our favorites be put through the emotional ringer. Lol of course I.. Don't even know where I would have taken offence to that because is that was an overreaction then your caps lock must be broken.


The reason that pinkie in the corner with the dunce cap is funny. On a comedic level is that if you were going to issue out a suitable punishment for a hyperactive person who says extremely frank things at the wrong times and cannot seem to be reasoned out of which except by rinse and repeat would be a shame-type disciplinary action, humorously regarded in this context as the corner treatment.

For instance if twilight had, smacked pinkie. By moral standards would it really be worse or better? That would depend on your personal POV if you ignore simple statistics of which punishment would be better/worse in regard to what pinkie did.

But it would have been unfitting to the scenario and pinkies character to have any other kind of punishment. Therefore what we call good scene writing which our good artist friend here is a master of, finds pinkie in a corner which is a punishment to fit the crime.


At least that's the logic of it, if that's what you were asking about.

Because I'm pretty sure I covered morally why anything that is dark no matter what level so long as it is used in satirical sense is funny *There are levels at which either sarcasm fails or it is too perverse for the majority of people, hence why we avoid subjects such as genocide*

I saw cupcakes and yeah what pinkie said was at the wrong time it probably wasnt the right thing to say to a already traumatized friend ya know? It would be like my friend yelling and jumping out in front of me after watching a scary movie and i am still on edge afterwards. its not a very nice thing to do and i would've personally slapped my friend across the face or send them outside whichever works.  so pinkie told a joke at the wrong time she should know better then to do that shes so impulsive!  i should have just laughed with the rest instead of worrying about my favorite character's feelings. she wouldnt say this anyway so why do i care if she says dumb things in a comic right? thanks for explaining it to me it actually helped me understand the joke more. So how do you feel about pinkie generally?

But this is pinkie bashing the artist obviously drew it to bash pinkie. I just hate pinkie abuse period. If this was a character I hate in the corner like this I would laugh maybe. But this is my favorite character who is being bashed. How would you like it if someone drew this exact thing with a character you like?
