New pages. The word "sleaze" here is an anachronism...but there really wasn't another word that was sleazy enough.I'm sorry for another insubstantial update. Somehow in my head, I managed to draw this whole first half of Volume 2 much faster and without making such a glacial, boring, wreck of the comic. Things are moving toward the meat of the story, but in the meantime, while I dodder along trying not to make it any worse, thanks for your patience, if you're still reading.

"Past calling them negros"? "Negro" is spanish for black. It's not "nigga". We say "negro" here. It's not a bad thing. Black people don't go complaining over it, 'cause Β it's like saying "white" nowadays. Which is not bad either. That is actually getting rid of racism: cleaning the language from scornful meanings that it didn't have originally.Β
It's people who is or is not racist, not languaje itself; so don'tΒ look for trouble where there is none.
That being said, I also picture Zibbs with kinda hispanic accent.

Don't you find it to be a wrong that a child, who has never done anything against anyone else is put behind other children just because they are of a "race" (nobody wants to just be people, sadly) that has done well in the past?Β Things like Political Correctness and Affirmative Action have made things considerably difficult for heterosexual, male American children children of European ancestry.

I like the easy familiarity showing between Mitzi and Zib - you've hinted at their past in previous (not previous?) teasers, but I've not seen them this close together in cannon before. Likewise, Sedgewick and Lacy's conversation was hillarious, and entirely appropriate. My favorite line? "If you're petitioning for a raise..."
Another thing I must say I'm continually impressed by is your level of details. From their expressions to other little things - the view of Mitzi over their shoulders in panel three is something less experienced artists wouldn't think to add in.
And of course, plot! Your plot skills rock, and you should be justifiably proud of this story. And now for the not so trivial... I wonder what Mitzi's going to do with that blank check...

Is it strange that I think Zib and Miss Lacy would make the most awesome couple ever? So witty and verbally clever couple. I bet they would have fun, being together.
