Do you want me to upload it? if so I can do that later, in a few days.
Or do you want a link to the original model in 3d warehouse?

Thanks, but I must've asked for the wrong thing because this seems to be a weird file type. Had to go into Google accounts to see it... I think it's just an image file or something :S

It's for google sketchup: [link]
In the free version there's no obj exporter, but here's is a free obj exporter: [link]
I have uploaded a software that my boyfriend created to help with the conversion of the exported obj files from sketchup to XNALARA, here: [link]

Ok, I downloaded the conversion software, and the chair link, which is an skp file. I dragged that into the MTL4XNA program, and it said it was done, but I'm not sure what to do now. Sorry if I'm being dense - especially as the program asks for an MTL file type to be converted, rather than skp... This is all new to me lol. Do I have to download that Google SketchUp thing?

I try exporting the 3D model but it saves as a DAE file - no option for saving as an object file :S After that, where does the file get saved when it converts in MTL4XNA?

you have to download the objexporter, there is one avaliable here, as I said earlier: [link]
You just have to register at that forum, then there's a link at the end of the first post ( in the link I added)
Save it in the plugin folder of sketchup. Then you will have the obj export option. Export the objfile into a new folder, then drag the mtl file into MTL4XNA, it will convert the textures so that XNALARA can read them, it only takes a few seconds and you can see when it's done when there are texturefiles in the model folder, and no subfolder for the textures.

Yeah, I managed to get the Objexporter now, but when I drag the MTL file over into the XNA converter, nothing happens. It says it's converted, but I don't know where it's saved the new file...

MTL4XNA doesn't create a new file, it changes the modelfolder where you got the mtl file from

Well, the chair comes up in XNALara... but all black... I changed the white buttons to black in GoogleSketch, but it didn't look like the whole thing had come out black. Sorry about this, but for some reason this has been a right pain to do! lol...

Okay, wait. It works now, but I'm thinking the black dots don't look so great. I changed them because you said sometimes you need to replace the white on certain objects. Oh well. It works! haha.

Okay, I've dragged the MTL file into the converter but I don't know where the file has saved. You said I can see when it is done when there are texture files in the model folder - where is this?
(Seriously, this is all very simple but for some reason it has been very strenuous trying to get this chair lol).
