Description Have you guys seen Ondine?
You should. It's a beautiful film. This isn't from it, but you should see it.

Acrylic, assembled in photoshop. This one isn't as good as yesterday's, but I like this process a lot---so I'm going to keep trying!

Yes, I have and it was really interesting and had a lovely feel.  I love the water in this.  Feels like Monet.

Is this in some way related to "the songs of the sea" movie? Feels like it... Both beautiful!

I actually just bought that movie. I was disappointed with it cuz it didn't have an actual selkie, but I loved it all the same.

Wow, love the colors, and the way you've made it flat flat & deep simultaneously. Beautiful work, and I love selkies. Can't wait to see the rest of their story.

Ondine is one of my favorite movies. I only just saw it a few months ago on TV, but I fell in love with it. I watched it a few more times since then. You're artwork is so beautiful!

Actually no, I haven't seen it, but it just made its way to my to-watch list.

This is really interesting - I really like how the colours are mostly bright, but the mood not so much. It also intrigues me how it feels kind of three-dimensional; I can't help but have the feeling that the woman was drawn somewhere else and then cut and pasted on the background, or that she is, in fact, in a totally different level than the man or even the mist. But seriously, for some reason I'm also finding myself drawn to the way the reflections were painted. Really beautiful.

You're 100% right- each of the layers is separately painted and assembled in photoshop. Cut&paste baby.

Thank you so much!

I want to echo the very nice things that others have said already! I looked at your "acrylishop" process, and the ONLY thing that bothers me right now is that the background's blur is too smooth! I was thinking that it could be blurred and then maybe sharpened or some other filter, and then you could get the blurred look without it looking so obviously shopped. I've seen a few pixels in my lifetime... y'know
