Description I have a lot of home-making fantasies. Sometimes I sketch them and send them in in return for lovely letters, since I can't write. Fun fact: this guy does not think it's creepy that I draw these. Obviously he's a keeper.

*Edit- don't want to misrepresent here. This is just doodlings on top of a photo.

This is very well done. The figures integrate perfectly into the photo.

This, in return for romantically lovely letters?
That's really sweet and creative...

Though you could put a liiiiittle few words on them to drive the point of these cards home :3

Very adorable. And pink. Two good things! And many other good things as well. Don't worry about the photo part - no one really cares once they see the rest.

thanks, that's great to hear! I always like to err on the side of full disclosure, since not everyone is so forgiving haha

Ah! Looking closer I realize it's probably photo manipulation with a bit of painterly touch. Eh, regardless it's still a very lovely, sentimental piece.

Thank you, I appreciate your flexibility, haha (Some people have gotten kinda upset when I did this before)

No worries! I think people fail to realize art's rich history in terms of its versatility and end up feeling closed-minded about appropriating various mediums to one's own intent. I mean, you're using other things originally made by others, but in a new, different context. If this wasn't considered an acceptable way of producing art, it would overlook and underappreciate important art forms like photomontage, collage, etc.

I think, like most things, it's all good in moderation, haha.

That IS adorable. I agree with a previous comment, haha.

This was so good in terms of lighting and texture that it looked like a photo from the thumbnail! Wonderful interaction and poses too.

New work from you! So good to see I have been wondering what you've been up to for forever! How are things, lady? Long time no internet!

Dude! I know! You know it's funny, when I was working at 38 I was convinced that a studio job was like the death of personal work, but this book has been seriously kicking my ass! Still, things are good, and it's spring now, so things are only going to keep getting better! Hoping to be more present here soon too, since I've got the personal work bug back... good to hear from you Nick!

So still bookin it up, then? I can't wait to see this thing! And yeah- I think artists just generally have only so much bandwidth and whether you're full-time book'ing or designing characters or whatever, it's always going to be a struggle to find time for personal work. For my, I'm finding that having all the time in the world doesn't necessarily mean more personal work for me- I'm more productive when I have too much on my plate than too little :/
Anyways- I was just in SF, and I was thinking of you and wondering how you've been and what you've been up to! I hope all is well with you and your frenchman

Well, creepy mostly because we've only been on a date and a half. (He lives in China. We met in an airport. I'm going to stop typing because this is definitely getting creepy hahaha)
