Here's a new Matrix sketch of the late Gloria Foster as The Oracle. Just a quick pencil rough and alittle photoshop. I hope to have the colored version up soon. Thanks for taking a look and, as always, I value your comments!Related content

It's a shame that Gloria Foster died after the Matrix Reloaded. I like the new Oracle however. Warner Brothers did a good job on renewing The Oracle...Remember these scenes in The Matrix Revolutions?
Trinity: "Who are you? (Can't recognize her at first)"
Oracle: "I'm the Oracle. Do you recognize me?"
Neo: "A part of you..."
Oracle: "Yeah...some bits you lose, some bits you keep...I can't even recognize myself in the mirror...but...I still love candy.

I like the fact that you took the time to even do the Oracle, this is a really good sketch. You got the likeness down really well. And I know everyone is saying this, but I am really looking forward to seeing the finished product. Keep up the good work.

Mmmm...the Oracle. As always, nicely done, but I think she needs some more shading/coloring to flesh her out. This sketch seems a lot rougher than some of the others you've done. The lines really capture her presence though.

This is why I have you on my Devwatch! So much life and character of an actress captured in lines on paper, truely sublime in a way.
I love the lines, I hope you dont loose those in the colored version, my line art seems to always die when I add color.

I really, really liked the Smith and Morpheus caricatures you had, as someone said here previously, not the usual matrix drivel. And the Oracle is definitely one of my favorites from the movie--I look forward to seeing this in color

A great memorandum to actress and the character. Like that other guy above said, you've captured her essence very well. Just one thing, her right (left as you look at it) glasses frame seems swewed bacwards. Of course that could be intentional, but I'm just pointing it out. Nice sketch
