I did literally nothing else all day today. Not contributing to society, not charity work, not volunteer work, not getting up to get my mail, nothing. I just ate, drank, and arched my poor scoliosis-ridden back over this for what is definitely a new record for how long I've spent on one piece at a time.yyeeeeeeess...
I would've finished it sooner but I spent a lot of time trying different things and not liking it, or else I'd just stare at the screen wondering how I'm going to accomplish this or asking myself why I made such confusing lineart.
I'm happy I got this out since I've been wanting to post another IZ-centered drawing. If I don't keep at it, I'll lose interest. Thankfully I was massively inspired by this amazing artwork: while watching the speedart video of it. I met a friendly dragonfly not so long ago who let me take a picture of him literally a couple inches from his face, so I decided to give tribute to him here

I love the shading and the shadows on Zim's face, it really shows off how perfectly in the shade they are!
And it's very rare to find dragonflies who actually LET you get close, so congrats on that

I was amazed I found a dragonfly in my own backyard in the first place. I've scarcely seen a few all my life, and that's in places where they're likely to show up- swamps and such. I was outside admiring my sunflower when it landed right there in front of me!
