Description This was a portrait I did of my great aunt's dog -which had passed away AGES ago... I think-.
I met her for the first time this past summer during my trip to Estonia. She's awesome, I felt bad that I couldn't really have a conversation with her due to my lack esto-speak skills. In understood almost every word though. She's 85 and carries a crapload of interesting stories with her, I was glad I had a chance to listen to them coming straight from her

So, she really loves my art, I sent some doodles over to her with my aunt a few years ago, and I thought it was time for an update. While I was there I took a photo of a photo of this dog, and drew it in my style.

Excuse the awkwardness, I haven't used coloured pencils properly in ages, so my skills are a bit rusty.

I'm having the original sent off to her, and I hope she likes it. :3 I like the look of it better IRL... but oh well. At least I'm using my scanner again -only on weekends-.

Wow, This is lovely!
Im sure you're great aunt will adore this! Its just amazing!
I dont thinkthe colouring is at all that bad, and the expression is so perfect.

Lovely return to your traditional media.
I have really missed it...I prefer it because I love the personal feel traditional media carries with it. <3

This picture has a lot of personality. I love the fur blending.

Hopefully I'll be creating more like this :3 Once commissions open up in December, I'll probably be doing a lot of traditional work. :3
