It seems that I put up some ok, but not great, artwork here. Then, occasionally, I strike gold with something I am really satisfied with. I think this is one of those few paintings I really like.

It was extremely hard to find a good gold for the armour, as I wanted all of the colours to be quite warm. It took a lot of trial and error. I started off quite simple and it just kind of built up from there. The fur on his shoulder was a happy accident. I'm not quite satisfied with the sword, however, but maybe I'm just niggling at it too much.

Somewhat based on Warhammer 40,000 Grey Knights, but very loosely.

One final thing: Guess what book I got the name from.

Time: 4 hours. My longest so far, I'd say.
Tools: As per usual, Photoshop CS and XP-pen Tablet (it's sub-standard, but I like it!)
