MattxMisa for my Open-mind Pairing Challenge. Sorry it's so sloppy/sketchy--I drew this in the car after lugging heavy things up and down three flights of stairs for 3+ hours to help my sister's family move to their new apartment, so my arms were kind of tired.
Misa is dressed in her more sedate clothing like she did during the arc where Matt first saw her.
And yes, Misa is this short compared to Matt--he's five inches taller than her.Here's my little story to go along with:
Matt thought Misa was so cute that he had to go and talk to her at least once, so while he was supposed to be watching her he pretended to be a random passerby, dropped his cellphone on the ground and paused to pick it up...only Misa noticed and picked it up for him! When she picked it up, their eyes met...and they were both struck by just how cute the other was!
Neither said a word as Misa handed the phone back, but both smiled a little before they went their separate ways, one wondering if and the other knowing that they would cross ways again someday.
The end.

She wrote Matt as such a sweetie...d'aww!Matt and Misa are from the anime/manga Death Note, and belong to Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.

XD LOL--as I had hoped, picking Matt for my next OP Challenge character gave me lots of chances to draw him some better fanart than just doodles. I had been out of the habit of drawing him, the poor guy--he's so much fun, too!

Thanks! I love subtle expressions that show the feelings of the characters, but don't usually get a chance to draw them unless I'm drawing a romantic piece.

Yeah? Hehe...I'm not sure if posting mine would be a good or a bad idea. Several of them are more shounen-ai than people would expect from me, and several others might be construed as OOC unless you knew the backstory (*cough*possession*coughcough*).
It doesn't surprise me that scenes of yours got a positive response.

I guess the humor just seems to fit the characters...that RE reference that Matt made in "The Chills" was absolutely adorable, I was almost upset that you didn't just include it in the actual story, along with Near's logic that L wouldn't eat them if they weren't being "sweet". Even as geniuses, for their age, that would have seemed in character to me.
