Description For my birthday, I got a Nikon D90 DSLR camera , so i've been meaning to try it out for a few days now. Admittedly i've been afraid of accidently breaking the camera or the lens, but so far so good.

So today, I went to the annual showground setup near the local harbour and took some shots. Many were just practice shots to get used to the settings (and i'll need a LOT more practice for future shots), but one or two came out good. This shot was one of them.

Incidently, I love using colour/gradient overlays in Photoshop. They just add so much more interest with such a simple addition.

good choice. dont worry so much about breaking your d90 - theyre tough little characters. just make sure you clean the lens with a soft cloth and avoid cleaning agents which can damage the coating. i like to use flannelette moistened with a drop of water. apart from that, a bag would be all you will need.

Thanks for the tip on keeping it clean, i'll have to make a note of that.
I have a carry bag and I use the lens caps, so I guess i'm good to go.
