I'm amazed at how many characters you've made for one story. I feel like there are more characters in this Deviation, than I have created in my life. It's crazy...in a good way.

XD Thanks; She's how I develop my characters. I just throw them in scenes with her after farming their backstories myself XDDD Though she doesn't care for the Russians at all, so they'll probably have to develop on their own. I'll stick them in my incubator XD

I do plan on putting up more comics. When I get the time, I would like to do my comic strip series, Third Party which throws all the characters into one town XD But hopefully will have more serious comics again soon n.n

I think the characters might find one another having strange or annoying experiences depending on each other's personality.

No problem! I'm actually trying to figure out characters and all myself for when I get ready to post art on Deviant and a story but I'm having problems with uniforms, ranks, names, etc.
Plus, with the difficult religious things going on back than, I kind of need to figure out the situations between Jews, Gypsies, and Christians. Ugh, So much research but I can't find anything helping me. ><;

Oi vey, ja, it's a big era in history, though some documentaries will get you up to speed on the generalities, as well as simply googling what you're trying to find. The best way to go about it is to simply start with one niche in history and research that one thing in depth. You'll start to learn the general history as you research that one topic, as they all overlap. For instance, we don't focus on the Pacific theater in our stories. It's just too much in one war to do at one time, but lately I find myself researching into resistance groups in Poland and Germany, (which I need to do more of <_> ). History forums are a great place to go, but most of all, first-hand accounts. To Bylo Tak has a Links section to some excellent forums as well as movie reviews to help you get started n.n

I understand not to get too caught up wish is what I'm avoiding.
I've looked up uniforms but like trying to get information back ground but it kept pulling up where to buy them.(Oddly enough)
I found out something strange about one guy from the resistance group that tried to initiate Valkyrie. Herner Von Haeften might've actually helped Jewish people get away but was named under the term Nora. He would only write where they should go and very rarely showed himself, I imagine. (Just a bit of information I suppose) So I guess in resistance groups maybe they had people like him???
I'll look into the link you have. Could you give me a few pointers about the era??? It could help me a bunch! <3 (And no worries about the comic! I enjoy them and some are funny!)

Yeah research is such a monster. I find that the best way to go about it, again, is simply to research what you need to know for that particular niche you're trying to cover. "WWII" is too broad a subject to really cover in a single story anyway without focusing on a certain theater or campaign. For instance, you could do a story entirely set around the battle of Stalingrad, or the invasion of Poland. There's so much information on the major events as well as tons of first hand accounts, so I would definitely recommend you pick an aspect of the war to focus on and go headfirst into its research.
Googling and Wikipedia, as cheapo as it sounds, is the best place to start. It'll give you the run-down and basic information. There, you will find tons of other links to subjects to branch off into, and it will lead you into a chain reaction of research. FOr instance, try looking up "Nazi SS." It's such a broad topic in itself, as it has many branches who have many subbranches XD
As for uniforms, best way to research it is to look at tons of books with photos, and again, research your particular campaign and infantry you're trying to research. Reenactment sites are great references that will tell you the names of what is required for the uniforms.
Forums are an excellent place for unique photo refs: www.wehrmacht-awards.com/forum... www.wwiidaybyday.com/ uniforms aaaaaaaand: and have great collections of reference. Start saving your morgue files, just build up a folder of all your reference to have on hand.
The general uniforms you want are the M42 and M36 uniform. The common pistol they carried was the Luger or Walther P38 and ummm. That should be a good start for now XD "jackboots" are the name of the boots they wore.
