Then the water began to pull him down. He was too tired to fight it. As the noise and the chaos faded, Flametail felt numbness spread through his body. He let his paws grow still, allowed the water to cradle him.
Such quiet.
Such calm.
Suddenly the water started to churn. Flecks of ice and bubbles floated around him. He saw silky gray fur wafting near him.
Jayfeather? Had the ThunderClan medicine cat fallen in, too? It's quiet here. He wanted to reassure his fellow medicine cat that everything was okay. Don't fight it....

Okay, first day of summer and here's number one of my to do list. As you can see this lovely scene happens in book 3 of the OotS series.

I changed up my drawing design a bit to give it a realistic approach. With the stripes and all. (No Flametail is not a tabby, but I think that he looks better that way.)

I also wanted to see if I could try out some water effects and bubbles. I think they turned out really well. ^^

In case you're wondering, the shadow across Flametail's head would be Jayfeather's. Didn't exactly want to draw him in there... Too lazy.

Also listening to this song really helped me grab the mood of this pic.
