(Mortal Kombat VS Marvel Comics)

Yeah I was a fan of Mileena VS Juri but over time, from a Death Battle standpoint, I just didn’t want the matchup, or any Mortal Kombat VS Street Fighter matchup (with the exception of Jax VS Guile and Sonya VS Chun Li). However ever since the commissioned track Brandon Yates did on this MU known as “Tooth and Claw” this has become my preferred fight for both, though Azula from Avatar and Barasuishou from Rozen Maiden are great Alts for Mileena

Connections: Two violent, animalistic and brutal female warriors who utilises bladed weapons (Sais/Tarkatan teeth and Claws) and are clones of other, more heroic warriors (Kitana and Wolverine), made by villains that previously had their originals in their disposal (Outworld and Weapon X program) as the ultimate killing machine existing solely to serve them in their vile goals. But they reacted to their purpose in the opposite ways with Mileena embracing her violent and evil nature, relishes in her murderous tendencies and fighting alongside the villains that made her whilst X-23 was ashamed of her nature and rejected her purpose, instead running away and fighting alongside the forces of good. Both later fought against their originals who they view as a relative (Mileena seeing Kitana as her “sister” and X-23/Laura Kinney viewing Logan as her “father”) and both at one point took over a famous/infamous mantle that was previously held by their “fathers” (Mileena briefly becoming Kahn of Outworld after the death of Shao Kahn and X-23 becoming the next Wolverine after the death of Logan)
