Description This here is Ami, a frog girl (an Amphimia) character for Concrete Jungle.
She's from Kaeruterre, a beautiful jungle paradise in Saharazon with rainbow waterfalls, living trees, and plants with teeth. Also, it's home to a creature called a Snuck.
It's basically a snake with a duck bill. But they're not too bright...at all.

As I was saying!
The sitting down token froggy stance I did there, was originally done just a pose as first, but part of me thinks it'd be interesting for that to wind up being the base for her fighting stance.
Which, would be even moreso, as it'd give her a small hitbox as if she were a short character...but she isn't.
Think kinda like Spider-Man's ultra low stance or Faust in Guilty Gear.
Though I would say Ami would probably count as the equivalent of a standard character crouching as her normal hitbox.

Moveset-wise, she'll attack with her tongue for long range attacks, think Dhalsim but way faster.
I figure she can stick to the walls (think Strider) but can even stick to the top of the screen even, like completely upside down. And can attack with her tongue primarily when on walls, but will have a divekick and Frog Splash (the pro wrestling move) she can do too off of them.
And her tongue will even be how she travels from one side of the screen's wall to the other.
Overall, I think she'll be kind of an unpredictable character to play against.
A lotta hard reads.

She'll also have Lily Pad Traps. Basically, if you step on a Lily Pad you get trapped.
Her block animation could be her using a lily pad like a shield, while her crouching block could be her down on the ground holding it over-top of her.
Think kinda like Mario's iconic crouch animation where he holds his hat over his body.

Plus, she can triple jump.

Oh, and she can have an overhead leap frog kinda thing where she kinda front flip dropkicks them.

Since I never discussed it before, aside from Concrete Jungle having specific Hypers/Ultras/Supers/Whatevertheygetdubbed for all (thinking it'll be 5) levels, every character has a "Submission".
They cost one full meter.
Submissions are universal three button press hyper moves.
Working like throws, but with *hypothetically for discussion's sake* L1 pressed either before or with it.
EX: L1 + Triangle + O
She'll have a Submission where she leaps at them and attaches to her opponent similar to the Saibamen from DBZ.
The longer the Submission is applied, the more it starts distorting the screen since she's releasing an hallucinogenic paralysis toxin to her to opponent.

Now then, "Submissions" have a gate of reversal once applied where you have like a half a second second gate to press L1 while they're doing theirs to reverse it into yours.
Free of meter charge.

When applying a Submission, you must mash Square, Triangle, X, and O (or any combination of those 4 together) to apply more damage and hits.
If you fail or forget to do so, you will only get 3 "hits" out of your Submission.
So, don't forget to button mash! Or else it's wasted.
When being victim of a submission, you too need to button mash.
Because, one fun fact about submissions is that if you button mash while at the mercy of one, by resisting it dulls the pain aka you take less damage.
So same button mashing theory applies to the character in the submissive position.

Even more about submissions, is that, if you mashed well enough against your opponent while being put in one, you can earn another "reversal gate" where you have that half a second to reverse the submission.
HOWEVER, that one would cost you one stock of meter.
If you have none, you're shit outta luck and the reversal prompt doesn't even pop up, though.

The submission idea was inspired by and brought on by my love of the old AKI wrestling games for N64.

Additionally, for trivia and history's sake here was the original concept before I tweaked it further adding more of a frog-like look to her face and replacing the spiked bands and previous hair ornament all with wooden ones:
