(Loki thinks to himself that If Thor became fat he had a great excuse to humiliate him. Maybe Thor would get slower giving Loki the chance to beat him in battle. And he would get so lazy that Loki could even top him in bed.)

Actually, Loki had an eating contest with Logi, not ΓtgarΓ°a-Loki (although it took place at his castle). Logi won since, while Loki only ate the meat, he ate the bones as well. This is because Logi was the really personification of FIRE.
At least Loki only lost 1 contest. In the same story, Thor lost 3: he couldn't empty a drinking horn (it was connected to the SEA), lift a cat (it was really JΓΆRMUNGANDR), or wrestle an old lady (Elli, the personification of OLD AGE).
