Description Hey there, i have been delaying this one for months. Finally had the chance to finish the concept in my mind. Hope you like it.

I'll upload other planets in this system as well, stay tuned!

And for some sci-fi

*** This is a planet far from our solar system. It's sun is a "white giant" which is several times bigger, hotter and brighter than our sun. The planet Illis is the fourth planet of the system which is at the border of destructive heat, therefore it survives being melted. However the neighbour planet of Illis is not as lucky. It constatntly melts and cools down accordingly to its orbital movement. Illis is mostly covered with endless methane oceans, by which a good amount of sun light is reflected back like a mirror resulting a cooler and durable temperature. Most of the life takes shelter under the deep methane seas from the exteremely hot days of Illis. Species tend to come out in the dark season which is a long night lasting for 4 months. One of the biggest species is the giant serpent which is the apex predator of planet Illis and is completely blind like all others. It's preparing to get out of the methane ocean for hunting since the dark season is coming closer and the burning sun is fading in the horizon.

Very nice! I've always been fascinated by pictures of life on other worlds!
I'm curious does any life live on dry land? And how do they survive the day periods?

Thank you, glad to hear you liked it!
Well, I always thought that there would be no actual large organisms living on land since the land coverage is very small and the surface is simply boiling hot. There are just a few islands which are actually the tallest mountains that the ocean can not submerge. There might be some micro organisms like UV processing moss on the shores but nothing too advanced outside the ocean.
You have an awesome gallery by the way!

I see.
I was asking because you said it was getting ready to get out of the ocean
to hunt and I was wondering what it had to hunt on land.

Yes, you are right. I do mention it getting out of the ocean but I always thought it as hunting around the surface level of the ocean and near shores

Interesting lighting and colour here, very eerie, yet warming. The mountain in the back looks great!

Coolness, I kinda feel sorry for the poor orbital object that's closer to that sun.

Yeah that is kind of an unlucky planet. I'll be drawing more planets in this solar system. Next one will be that hot planet i guess, stay tuned. Thanks for the visit and the first comment, cheers
