Description
Winter, Year 765 of the New Age
Crown Prince Riddick's Glade, Glenmore
Featuring: Lady Ophelia
Mentioning Crown Prince Riddick and Dianthe
The white powder upon the ground did not seem to bother the little hind much, rather she instead found it interesting, trotting out of the den she had her mother used to share.
She shivered for a moment, mewling to herself before the jubilance of the snow wormed its way into her heart. Tentatively at first then with vigor, Ophelia began to prance and dash around the glade,
quite unlady-like but she was still young, no one could put her at fault here. It was cold, but swished as she darted through it, not yet having fully covered the ground. Warm puffs of air rose from her mouth
as she filly played, before pausing in her antics.
The ground glowed just slightly under her front hooves, and blinking she bent awkwardly to inspect them, wondering if she had squished a lightning bug or some other glowy creature.
No, it wasn't that, there was no unfortunate little critter that had gotten smushed under her pink hooves. Furrowing her brow, Ophelia peeked behind her by way of between her legs, lifting her tail so she could see. Little patches of snow had melted where her hooves had bounced, the grass looking far more lush than the other uncovered patches. Her blue eyes widened, she had seen mommy do this!
Mommy had made the ground glow and grew her flowers before! The thought excited the filly, cheeks turning a warm rose. Well if mommy could do it, then so could she.
Concentrating, she felt a tingling in her feet that rose up her legs, and after a full 5 minutes of trying, Ophelia rose and springing up were a few clusters of bluebells and a pink carnation.
"Da!" Ophelia called out to her father, tail swishing back and forth like an excited puppy. Come and see what she did! It felt like ages until a dark shadow appeared behind her, and turning her head up she peered into the bearded face of her father, beaming like a radiant little light. Maybe he seemed shocked or pleased, but either way he gave her a warm snuggle, tucking his nose under her chin until she squealed with delight.
" Do you..do you think momma will like it? " Still too young to understand, but knowing something was amiss, Ophelia missed the touch of her mother and didn't understand where she had gone. " Will momma be coming home soon..? " She asked softer this time, blue eyes large and hopeful as she gazed up into his.
A heavy sigh came from the Prince, though he nuzzled her once again. Of course she would have loved to see this, he told her. She'd have been so proud. His words made her heart swell, but a small frown crossed her lips as he ignored her last question. " Papa? " The little hind tried, unsuccessful, to get him to answer before burying her nose into his chest. Mother would have loved it he had said, and for now that's all that mattered. Still, she had vanished so suddenly. Did she not love her anymore? The stag seemed to sense her sudden change in mood, kissed her on the forehead and held her close. Would you show me more, little one? He asked of her, his warmth radiating over her. Sniffling, she nodded and tried not to be sad anymore, but the longing for her mother was deep. " For momma.. " Ophi murmured quietly, looking down at the little thing she had grown. Yes, she would continue to grow flowers so that when momma came home, she would see some of the prettiest flowers in the whole of Glenmore; all for her, from her little daughter.

In which Ophi discovers a little hint of her gifted magic!! Seems when she's excited, it goes *oh hello world!* and leaves a little trace here and there.
They are just little things, but it's a start to her desire to learn even more magic so that one day when mother returns, she can give her the gift of the most beautiful flowers in the world.
She questions Riddick to where she has gone, feeling abandoned, but he may think she's a little too young to understand and might be playing it off that she has passed away to ease her mind,
and not have Ophi feel abandoned or upset over something she won't understand till shes much older.
It's also a tender, touching, father and daughter moment.
And yes, I could NOT be bothered lol to do it on a transparent background... its 1am and I'm way to lazy for all that biznits.
Plus, it matches the sloppyness of it all;3
This is pretty much Ophi's face when daddy praised her.
Legit her reaction to pretty much everything, my little blusher.
