It was the last time I had seen mother smile. Or laugh, really. I miss her smile, her laughter, it all twinkled so bright.
I barely recognize her anymore, so bitter and hurt; so lonely. I lost my mother that day, as well as my sister.
She took everything, and nothing, with her when she left. I miss the warmth of my mother's hugs,
her gravely voice as she told me stories in the dark, doing her best to whisper.
I just miss...her. Everything she was, everything she should have been.

Bring back her smile, her laugh,
the twinkle in her eye and the sway of her voice when she sang.
Bring back who she was, the mother I knew.

Bring my mother's soul back.
