Description I finally finished this (it only took me like, two years). No but seriously...it took me a woefully long time to finish this (in part because I ran out of at least four colors of ink and had to order them) and AUGH.

Anyway, top-to-bottom: Wales (Dafydd), Northern Ireland/Ulster (Charles/Connla), Scotland (Donal), Ireland (Marog), Dublin (Dane), England (Arthur/Artos).

Original (sketch) version:

Btw, if any of you would like to color this (because most of you would do a better job of this than I did), I have a lineart version on my laptop.

More UK siblings:

Tools: Graphic, Multiliners, Copics, colored pencils, white gel pen
Arthur Kirkland/APH (c) Himaruya
Donal, Marog, Dafydd, Charles, and Dane (c) TheInkgirl

Aw...back before England went and screwed everything up. Great pic; their faces are so cute!

I beg to differ, it was more the Germanic immigrants and the Romans' fault... Back in these days, we were all Celtic. Still, I believe Britain can live in peace. Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland aren't England's colonies. Not at all. The Empire was belonged as much to the Scottish as it did to the English. Yet again maybe Wales wants some sorting out, they haven't got their own parliament after all...

I was merely referring to England's treatment of Ireland, Scotland and Wales post-Roman Empire.

The art and the pose are really beautiful(they resemble a bit the geography of the British Isles or am I wrong?)I love Ireland she's so beautiful.Dublin as a blonde haired child makes me think of it,is there a particular reason you made him blonde (like arthur)?btw great job I adore your Ocs to me they seem perfect!

Thank you so much! Someone gets it! Haha, yes, you're right; they do look a bit like the Islands. When I started, I wasn't planning on doing it that way; but I found myself doing it. Dublin is Blonde because he's the child of Ireland and Denmark (the city was originally a Viking settlement/invasion in Ireland); and also because I kind of think it's funny how Dubliners see themselves as wayyy more Irish than anyone else (in Ireland), even though he's half-Scandinavian (and I'm sure it annoys Arthur that she was married to Denmark--who all of the British Isles siblings didn't like--another example of her choosing almost anyone over him). Ah, it makes me really happy that you like them. Thank you so much!

I normally don't like coloring too much (I don't have enough patience. ) But I love using flesh tones; they're so much fun! So...YES. Let's have a marker party!

baww. It's not that hard... well I've been using it forever... Idk i like it a lot because you can erase anything and also there is an undo button

But hey, when the world loses all technology you'll have a leg up!
I think your traditional art is absolutely beautiful.

Good job on this, Meg! The way you create dynamic poses even for something like this never fails to amaze me.

And I don't know WHY I'm thinking this (and you'll likely laugh at the fact that I do) but somehow, I think that Dafyd reminds me of Jim Hawkins here *shot* Maybe it's your choice of colours or something...I dunno, but considering that I first met you when you were into "Treasure Planet"...just take this as a compliment, okay?

TheInkgirl In reply to KitakLaw [2011-08-06 02:18:09 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much, Kitak!

Hehe, I did laugh, a bit (mental images of a land-mass as a rather angry teenager are amusing!). But, you know, now that you mention it, I see it? Will I ever be able to unsee it? Hey! You know me; I'll take any compliment.

(Btw, random: I'm always excited when I see that you have favorited something. You have such high standards, that it, like, MEANS more when it has the Kitak stamp of approval).

You're welcome!

And me? Having high standards? If you want to look through my faves, you'll find that's actually not all that true! lol
