Description Well this it the finished story to the silly light bulb man, not really a story more of an event.
I'm very pleased with this one, it took me a lot of time to fit all of the shards in the right place, but sooooooo worth it.
All resources used are my own.

I would really appreciate some Critiques, i would love to try to make this as good as i can.

Thank you very much
I'm glad you liked it, i might be continuing with the idea, expanding on it, so there should be more of the light bulb man.
Again thank you, i appreciate the praise.

I absolutely love this! The concept is wonderfully original and the attention to detail is perfect. The simple clothing helps us to concentrate on the impact of the image itself while the little motion lines around the hands and hammer make this all the more realistic. I do agree with previous suggestions that the hammer looks slightly too big but in a way this enables the concept to stand out more. The light seems to fall perfectly on the pieces of broken glass - it is almost as if we are seeing the action as it happens. This is a really great image!

Thank you for the critique, much appreciated.
And yes, it does look like everyone else agrees with you about the hammer, i have had a few goes at this, different versions etc, but i found the feel of it as a whole works more with the hammer like this.
Again, thank you very much

You're welcome :]
I certainly don't dislike the hammer how it is, but if there was anything to be critical of that is all that would come to mind. Its lovely

Wow indeed! That's a really good idea, and I think you executed it / yourself pretty perfect.
There's only three things I can find which are maybe not perfect - not that I could really do them any better, but maybe you can. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
- The hammer is pretty huge. This might be intentional to a degree, to make it immediately recognizable, but it looks slightly odd.
- The one shard that is right at the hammers head, I _think_ it might look better if it was in front of the movement blur?
- the front of the figure looks a bit odd, there's his shirt, but i don't know, would a jacket naturally fall that way?
These are all just minor points, however. All in all this is really really good! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Thank you very much.
first off you were right about the hammer and its size, i first tried it with an normal sized hammer, but it just didn't look right, and i feel it gives more of an impact.
The shard, i might move it about and experiment with the position a bit, i do agree with you it doesn't look quite right.
The actual photo i took slightly at an angle, so i can understand if it may seem a bit wired, and i might try to sort that out.
Any way thanks for the Critique =]

This is pretty good. i would suggest a bit more gesture though. The hammer look pre-impact, and the body/head doesn't feel like it just received impact. Everything else is nicely done.

I see a lot of comments saying how this is funny...but honestly, my first thought was, "Poor Light Bulb Man..."

I guess it could be because I've been depressed lately. Maybe the viewer just imposes whatever they're already feeling onto the art a bit. I saw this as...he just can't take it anymore, and bashed his own face in. Everyone else is laughing at it. I must be in a dark place.

Anyway, it's awesome! Very well done.
