Posing without a care in the world, I see!
You did such a love work with Macy here! I am a huge sucker for this type of overflowing cheer!
First of all, the expression is probably one of the best parts of this. I love the wink, the shape of the eye and the thick eyelashes are really neat to look at, the pupil being so big and the shiny sparkles in the eye really add to her innocent and excitable look.
The toothy smile being so wide looks surprisingly great. The huge tongue and the teeth and gums being so smooth give her smile much more purity! I feel like open mouths are fairly easy to mess up, but you did really good with it!
Every aspect of her expression blends together really well. It has a very solid shape, and it goes without mention that she looks absolutely adorable!
I adore seeing how vast the fluff in her face and neck is.
The way the fur so smoothly turns pink at the point where her ears start is quite impressive. the lines on each and every one of the tiny bits of fur are very neat and also look really good.
The pose also looks really, really good! Sure, what exactly she is doing might be a bit unclear, but when it comes to pictures like this, there's no real need to worry about worrying about context, since you can just focus on how good the entire picture looks!
You did an incredible job on the anatomy in this. Going from the solid look of the arms, to the slightly bent torso, to the strong shape of the knees and the way they're bent, it all comes together to make a dynamic pose that doesn't look forced, but instead, seems laid back and cheerful.
I could really learn a thing or two about the way you draw knees and legs in general! x3
I really like the way you've drawn her clothes as well. The smooth tanktop has a fresh feel to it, while the tattered pants give her a tough look, without taking any of her beauty away.
The little afterimage-like effect in the background is really cool. The way it mostly seems to follow her motion adds to the dynamic pose. Which is a very smart choice for the background!
Great work!

Aw Thank you! energetic happy pieces like this are a lot of fun! :’> I don’t do them too often.
Aaaah You’re too nice to me!! Thank you! Honestly I can’t take all the credit though part of those super cute traits just come with the character, Tonic’s a great designer~
and that’s so true, I could actually mention- while I was sketching this, her mouth went through a funny shape or two before I got something I liked so you’re definitely not wrong there.
fun fact- mouths and more specifically teeth are one of my favorite things to draw actually! So that compliment, while they’re all greatly appreciated of course- is especially nice to hear!
I feel teeth can be an after thought for a lot of artist, especially cartoonist like myself which I think is kind of shame! Things can be simple and stylized and still be accurate, I think it’s important to at least have in the back of your mind while you’re drawing that the teeth are a part of the skull and not just floating bones in a hole with a tongue XD they’re gonna change angle too and they can add a lot to an expression! And a character’s overall design too.
not to go on a tangent over here X’’D hahaaaa but yeah, mouths are fun and I’m happy Macy’s looks good here!
thank you thank youuu!
I’m a sucker for drawing fluff~
I’m happy the sharp softness I go for works well, I always think the little things sell it the most but it’s nice to actually get a little confirmation on that from someone else. ^v^
haha that was kind of my thought aswell! Thanks! Context be dammed. X’D
aww my gosh, Learn something from lil ol’ me? Aaaah you flatter me too much TvT you’re so kind!
thank you so much! I almost don’t even know how to express it but it means a lot!!<3
thanks! Her outfit was fun to experiment a bit with, with the rips and threads.
ahaha thank youuu! It was definitely trying to push the idea of motion as much as I could!
thanks so much!!
