With the cold a freezing weather were having just recentlyi decided to switch from the waters edge and go into the woods for a change, im glad i did. I managed to cover quite a few species of the smaller birds especially the Tit family. this ones a Blue tit

i think the bluetit will always be my favourite bird
i'd kinda forgotten about them since childhood (where you could always see them in the garden), until i went photographaming in the woods this winter. I guess there's something to be said there about the change in numbers and presence of birds nowadays...
anyway, they're so uber cute

Yes they are probaly the most common of them all, bossy lttle birds

Our Chickedees are not bossy. They are very friendly though. It is my desire to make friends with a few this summer and get them to sit on my hand. It is possible but I am not sure if I will have the time to do it. Takes patience and time. I have the patience.

This is one of my all time favourite photographs.

Oh yes i have a tin of mixed seed on me at all times, i put it down for wild birds regardless they will eat it especially in winter. but at the moment at Rufford especially people put lots of seed down
anyway, the birds expect it LOL. for sure as i enter certain parts of the wood and shake my tin i get all sorts of birds following knowing they will get fed

Call me childish, but I can't help but read the name and snicker, ah well, childish comments aside, Great Tits... or rather photographs of Tits, and by Tits ofcourse I mean the bird which in short name is called, the Tit, with no real connection to the common slang for human breasts.

We have had some excellent days with crip morning frosts and very good light, perfect for these little fellows

Cheers!!!!!! yes made a very nice change, i tend to concentrate on one area to get the best out of it. while in the woods i've also spotted a woodpecker to that im really hoping to get a shot of
sooner or later too, i've clocked his pattern and times he seems to use quite regular. so im gonna put some time in and see if i can capture him too.
