Description Here is a recent commission I did for Giga Studios.
Pencils by the insanely talented Aztekh! (a fellow DA'er I've been a big fan of for awhile and finally had the opportunity to work with!)

Ooh. I love how you used the kind of washed out blue/green colors on the top half, and then mixed it up with the brighter colors of the people with powers. Gorgeous work, as always.

And I can see you're practicing that painted look. Looks great.

Yep, still trying to implement it into my style.
I've been watching alot of the Underworld movies, and I wanted to get that blue hue to everything like they had...

wow this is awesome, fine colors for a fine artist's lines. Very nice work man, how much lasso tool do you use as oppossed to straight painting and blending?

Ummm...If I had to guess I'd say about 90% is painted, with some cuts used here and there (especially to give more shape to the brightest hilights. I used it more on the bg characters (where I first started the pic) and the more I progressed, the less it was used (like on the superpowered characters)

wow...well your style is very nice i like it a lot and i sure you were to win Mark Brooks contest i also entered. I'm looking into differnt ways of coloring to maximize my skills so this is helpful......what is a color seperation? you mentioned something about that on your Mark Brooks piece.

Its another term for flats

color separations/ flats - same thing
