For those of you curious on my profile as to what this is all in regards to, I am one of the administrators of the Illustrators Online group. Flyingpeachbun's work was declined by another administrator. When flyingpeachbun asked about why the work was declined, the admin pasted in our quality guidelines. Flyingpeachbun then went into a tirade citing multiple examples of works that were within our galleries (picked or accepted by other admins) that she thought were considerable to the same quality as her work or "worse", belittling the artists who created these works. I cannot stand when other artists throw artists being represented in our galleries under the bus because they have an "holier-than-thou" (lol) attitude, so I went into full detail as to why her work was declined, citing lack of creative vision, etc etc.

Now she's decided to take it public outside of the private context of the group. So feel free to comb through her ramblings below citing how much of a hateful, elitist person I am and then editing them out, perhaps because she sounded a bit like a lunatic?

Anyway, it's clear to me that you, flyingpeachbun, did not understand much at all of what I stated in my comment(s). Here, let me rework this for you:

"Maybe stir up an original idea in your head that doesn't have to be backed by a Bible verse in a horrendous font slapped over the top of your hard work and then you can consider being part of the Illustrators Online group."

Let's break it down.

1. Come up with a relatively original creative vision.
2. Don't paste an ugly font Bible verse all over your work.
2a. Find a nice font that compliments what you're trying to convey.
2b. Let the message speak for itself without the assistance of the text.
2c. Don't use mUlTIPLe FonT FAcEs, colors, and sizes like you're willy-nilly clicking through WordArt to paste onto your drawing.

You once again missed the fact that no one had a problem with your Bible verse and went straight to thinking you are a persecuted person of the Christian faith, but instead we had problems with your execution of the work, placement of the verse, font choice, style, etc.

Let's talk about your comment of us being "elitist" that I never took up in my first, original comment to you.

You clearly think that you have some sort of point to be made, here. The rule is as follows, and I quote:

If you are rejected due to quality reasons, please don't despair. We know it can be difficult being told your art is "not good enough" -- trust us, we are all also artists and have all been there! Keep working at your art or feel free to ask questions as to what you can improve upon. We always welcome submissions from artists declined for low quality reasons in the future."

Read it again. We try not to be elitist. We do have quality standards. Our quality standards are vastly lower than the quality standards of Illustrators Online two years ago, or CGJournal, or ConceptArt.org, or any other illustration magazine, group, or otherwise. We accept a lot more variety of work that can be construed as "not good" although they are stylistically different and take different approaches to relaying a message, just like all of the works you sent in to us to compare yourself against. We do have quality standards. Would I like an all inclusive group? Of course. Do I want people to join and participate in the group? Yes, of course. Does everyone want to see an influx of badly drawn anime girls in their newsfeed? Probably not. So we have quality standards, and there is a cutoff point and sorry, you did not make the cutoff. We call them "junior" artists because maybe not all works will get in, but with enough work and direction they will get in. Anyone can keep submitting to our gallery. We don't limit you based on rejections. Just like real life, you won't get into everything at all points. There will be areas where your work is good enough and other areas where your work isn't good enough. That's the way it is.

You are acting exactly the same as a person walking into a gallery with your artwork, asking them to hang up your artwork, and when the gallery says no, you ask why, they say your artwork isn't a good fit for their gallery, and you go ahead and point to the Jackson Pollock they have on the wall, whining about "well how could you let that hang on your wall but not my work?" You're ridiculous.

Plus upon further inspection of your gallery I found that wonderful nugget of a piece of artwork that is very clearly a depiction of a poor, beaten, struggling, persecuted Christian (anime) angel girl being chased down by a lynch mob full of LGBTQ+ people that want Christ dead (lol that this comment is directly happening beneath my Pride flag). You don't get to cover that up in the same way as saying "I'm not racist, but..." Sorry (not sorry) that I won't give you a place to voice your hatred. You clearly believe the stuff that you're saying and portraying in your pictures. To those of you still reading, I won't link the work because it's hateful and incendiary, but if you're curious you can see it plastered on her DeviantART profile.

Should I even go into the fact that you were just bashing trans people on your last comment you so helpfully edited out? Or should I just leave here proof that Adam as written was an androgynous hermaphrodite ?

It blows my mind that I went so far as to respect you personally as a Christian by not only using a respectful tone lacking of my usual expletives, capitalized God and the Bible for you, kept my words to you civil, and kept my words to you relatively private, and you went out of your way to go onto my page to publicly post this? To reiterate what I said before, wow, you teach children? You are a literal child. Grow up.

This time is temporary, and nothing means anything without God, if we all just die... Not even this conversation, it will be just as if it never existed to begin with.

It's not a matter of editing out like you're trying to portray as if I was hiding it... But it's a matter of trying to express certain things...
But you aren't even trying to make an effort to resolve the situation, instead your motive is to make it worse.
So, if you really think I am so wrong in my actions, then how do two wrongs make a right?
It is interesting how these things become okay to do when you want to, while at the same time telling others it's wrong and try to
