Thank you, Grant. I couldn't not do art... it keeps me sane given the "business" that seems to have taken over my profession (architecture)! Being middle aged, I thank God it's a gift that I can continue to explore and develop my whole life...and not something I'm going to lose with my youth! LOL! Edsel

Your detailed paper cutting is amazing!! I'm a big fan of Rackham and other Golden Age Illustrators, and it's amazing that you capture their same feeling in cut paper. I started to fave some others and realized that some were already in my favorites from ages ago, so I figured, "I obviously appreciate this artist... I need to Watch!" LOL Keep up the beautiful work!!!

Rackham has been very inspiring to me, there's just something to be said about the almost dream-like innocence in his characters that we don't quite see in illustrations today. Of course he doesn't make my life as a paper-cutter any easier, but it was definitely a challenge to try. And I will definitely keep on trying more Rackham in the future!
Cutting paper for me is like many people with adult colouring books. It's a zen-like activity for me and a hobby that's blossomed. So I will continue to do my best. I can promise you this much!

Grant...thanks so much for the kind comments. My wife and I took our son to Paris in April as an early birthday gift for me and an owed trip for him. He had given up 2 birthdays and 2 Christmases for a trip "anywhere in Europe". LOL. Needless to say Paris was very inspirational for me. We all three are ready to go back. On my actual birth day in June, I had to fly to Cincinnati for work. I was bummed at having to get up so early to travel for work, but the meeting ended up being in a very historic part of downtown. I got to visit several buildings in absolutely stunning Romanesque, Greco-Roman, and Deco styles... so that day was also inspirational. And finally, my wife (also born in June) decided we should give each other a new Italian Greyhound puppy for June, since our previous IG, Pax, died two years ago. We get to pick him up in a few days...So a new living sculpture for the family... A life filled with art is a wonderful thing, isn't it?
