Yeah watercolor paper is awesome with colored pencils. What other kind of paper do you use for colored pencils?

Ive found that water color is good for still life or other items that are only different vaues of the same color. For portraits or skin tone, stonehenge or canson mixed media paper is what ive been using. Mainly anything 90-100lb with slight tooth (way less tooth than watercolor paper)

yeah you still might be able to use the watercolor pads. Im pretty heavy handed so I was killing my pencils trying to fill the tooth of the WC pad. The mixed media paper fills quicker so its basically telling me when I either need to move on or erase some to fix things because I cant put down any more color.

Especially if its easier on my hand. Plus I guess
I won't waste as much pencil.
