Description
Bonze (perhaps not actually his name, but more on that later) is one of the members of the Royal Guard, the special division of former captains charged with protecting the Soul King. He, along with his fellow Guard members arrived in Soul Society after its destruction at the hands of the Vandenreich. Bonze seems to act as something of an unofficial leader to the group, keeping them in line and focused.
I have read two translations of this week's chapter, one includes Kyoraku referencing the above pictured character as "Bonze," while in the other he is called "Oshou." Bonze is a french word for a Buddhist monk, and I don't really know what Oshou means. Chances are I'll have to change the name of the deviation at some point.
